Shaker Masterclass Hawksmoor Kitchen in Light Grey and Windsor Blue
Sussex
Designed for a couple who love to cook, this kitchen renovation was all about creating a space that feels effortless to use day-to-day, while still delivering a refined, timeless look. With no formal brief in place, the project evolved naturally around how the homeowners live in the space, prioritising practical prep areas, smart storage and a layout that supports easy movement between key zones.
The finished kitchen features a beautifully crafted Masterclass Kitchen; one of our newest suppliers, with Hawksmoor doors painted in Light Grey paired with a Portland Oak carcass. The result is calm, elegant and bright, while still offering warmth and depth through the internal cabinetry finish.
A standout feature is the large island, painted in Windsor Blue and finished with decorative posts and panels to give it a sophisticated, furniture-like feel. Topped with crisp 20mm Snow quartz worktops, it provides generous prep space for keen cooks and naturally becomes the hub of the room. The statement mantle over the cooking area completes the look, creating a beautiful focal point and giving the space a strong architectural presence.

Detailing & Style
The Masterclass Hawksmoor cabinetry, painted in Light Grey and paired with a Portland Oak carcass, creates a calm and refined backdrop, while the Windsor Blue island with decorative posts and panels adds depth and character. The worktops provide generous preparation space, ideal for keen cooks, and the layout has been carefully considered to ensure appliances, pull-out bins and storage zones are positioned for effortless workflow. A spacious larder unit with pull-out drawers and internal lighting maximises organisation, while NEFF appliances including an oven, microwave, dishwasher and gas hob, along with a Quooker boiling water tap and a Caple farmhouse ceramic sink, complete the space with quality and functionality in mind.
The finished result not only delivers in terms of design and functionality, but also in the overall experience of working with HKS. The homeowners were delighted with both the process and the outcome, something reflected in the kind words they later shared. You can read about their experience in our blog by clicking here, where they talk in detail about the journey from concept to completion.
“We’ve just had a major kitchen project completed by HKS Kitchens, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. From the very first design discussions through to the final installation, the whole team acted professionally, communicated clearly, and paid great attention to detail at every stage. The finished kitchen looks fantastic and is genuinely something we’re proud of.”
