HKS SUPPORTS INDEPENDENT RETAILER MONTH

Local retailer HKS Interiors Ltd. is supporting Independent Retailer Month, an initiative aimed at promoting the benefits of buying from local independent retailers, which will run throughout July.

Managing Director, Tim Burgess said: “The benefits of shopping locally have been well publicised by Mary Portas in recent months and this initiative will help us continue to promote all the reasons why people should buy from a specialist retailer.

“We are working with our national trade association The Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBSA) to support this campaign and taking the opportunity to remind homeowners of the extra peace of mind that comes from buying from a KBSA member.”

KBSA members offer consumers peace of mind as they have to abide by strict rules, are carefully vetted prior to admission and have to have been trading for at least two years before they are even considered for membership.

Every contract completed by a KBSA retailer is covered by the unique KBSA ConsumerCare deposit protection scheme or ConsumerCare Plus.

Independent Retailer Month is championed by the retail champion Clare Rayner and supported by many other organisations including the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the British Independent Retailers Association (bira).
